Welcome to Newmarket

Newmarket is the headquarters of thoroughbred breeding, racing and training. It's a fascinating place to visit with something of interest for everyone.
At the award-winning National Horseracing Museum and Palace House you can explore the town's history, its culture, its heritage including links with royalty. You can see mares and their foals at the National Stud, tour the gallops and racing yards, enjoy the thrill of a day's racing at Newmarket's two racecourses and cap it all with dinner in comfortable and relaxed surroundings.

The Newmarket Experience offers a great opportunity to go behind the scenes at racing's headquarters and to see the equine stars at work. You can meet their trainers and the staff who look after them. We can arrange guided tours for groups and individuals. We can even arrange your accommodation if required. We'll act as your single point of contact and organise individual itineraries.

Tours can be combined with racing at one of our two racecourses. Visits taking a half-day, full-day or longer are available. We have excellent hotels, good road and rail links. An hour away from London, three of the England's most famous and historic centres - Cambridge, Ely and Bury St Edmunds - are a few minutes away.
