The Jockey Club was founded in the middle of the eighteenth century and was originally a social club aiming to promote good fellowship among racing and horse-breeding gentleman from all over the country. Eventually becoming the ruling body of racing, in modern times the Jockey Club Rooms have reverted back to there initial
purpose of a member’s social club with the judicial functions of The Jockey Club taking place in the London offices.
This is a unique opportunity to see some of the hidden treasures of this private members club now opening its doors on selected dates to the outside world.
